Hey gamers! Well, Curtis has to cancel our date because he's sick so I decided to try a new game, instead of working on that paper like I should be. The game I tried was Twisted Lands: Shadow Town.
This game is very intriguing! The storyline was interesting and kept you guessing. The graphics were exceptional and the ambience indeed spooky. The hidden object areas I found easy to moderately hard and the puzzles were definitely hard. The adventure part was logical, so once you found an object you basically knew where to use it. I would highly recommend this game if you are looking for something moderately challenging with an interesting storyline and plot twists. I give it a two thumbs up.
Any cons. Not really. The hints take awhile to charge up, if you want to skip a puzzle it seems to take forever to before you get the option, and the game promotes smoking by showing one of the main characters using cigarettes and a lighter. I personally think if she was going to leave items behind for her boyfriend to find, they could have chosen something different. Did I mention for a girl out in the middle of the ocean on a tiny little boat she was wearing incredibly high heels! Okay, so I'm being picky. Still... stilettos?
My short review aside, I must comment on the increase in "spooky" hidden object games of late. It can't be just because it's October, because I've noticed that almost all the hidden object games coming out are of a more scary, sinister nature. I think I would much prefer to have a mix to choose from instead of every game seemingly centered around ghosts, asylums, and shipwrecks. While I love mysterious, let's get back to the mystery and less spookfest.
