Don't get me wrong, you don't need to know the story behind the game to enjoy it, but I think it would be interesting to see if there were details I was missing that were part of the original story so I could cover my mouth with my hand, gasp dramatically, and point at said detail, pretending to be smarter than the other people in the room. Of course, since there's no one else here right now... well... I'd at least impress myself. 

 

But now that I think about it, there's a chance it would ruin the game for me as well, as there's a good chance I would dramatically roll my eyes and scoff at how many liberties the developers have taken with the original story... 

 

Yeah maybe I'll just enjoy what I'm given and try not to put much thought into it beyond putting together a Dark Tales: Edgar Allan Poe The Fall of the House of Usher Walkthrough. Wow... that was a lot to write. I might need a break after this blog...
