Captain

  • Go to the captain’s quarters and use the POKER to retrieve a calendar piece from the ashes in the fireplace.
  • Then head to the middle deck.

 

Middle Deck

  • Zero in on the lever to the right and collect the calendar piece, then use the BOAT HOOK to grab the net hanging down from the opening.
  • Clamber up and initiate the HOA puzzle to the left.

 

Net HOA

  • Click on the HOA to the left to initiate it.
  • Collect the items circled in red.
  • Those circled in yellow require multiple moves.
  • Click on the statue to release and capture the hummingbird.
  • Use the knife to carve a figure out of the bare wood, then use the knife again to cut into the sack and find the spoon.
  • Restore the doll by using the needle to sew the arm and head in place.
  • Use the chalk to flesh out the drawing of the sun.
  • When finished take the WIND GOD HAND and go to the sentry room for a follow-up HOA puzzle.
  • Proceed to the lit doorway in the background.

 

Sentry HOA

  • Click on the HOA to the left to initiate it.
  • Collect the items circled in red.
  • Those circled in yellow require multiple moves.
  • Click on the statue to release and capture the hummingbird. Insert the lens into the telescope to obtain the spyglass.
  • Leaf through the book to find the crown.
  • Use the corkscrew on the bottle to obtain the cork.
  • Add the fishing line to the figure to turn him into a fisherman.
  • Use the old rag to polish up the coat of arms.
  • When complete, take the STAPLES and head to the upper deck.

 

Staples

  • Zoom into the mast.
  • Place the STAPLES (Staples? I’d like to see what kind of pages you use these on!) on the mast.
  • Climb up.

 

Idol Puzzle

  • Zoom into the idol.
  • Place the WIND GOD HAND and the WIND GOD AMULET on it to initiate a mini-game.
  • The object of the exercise is to link up the pipes by moving each of the hands in order to direct the steam in the correct direction.
  • Play around with it, because you can always resort to the reset facility and the following solution if need be, which is to press the bottom hand on the left side three times, and the top hand on the left side twice.

 

Idol

  • Collect the MEDALLION and the WIND GOD STATUETTE, then zoom in on the left to acquire the PIECE OF CLOTH, noting the missing item.
  • Return to the portal.

 

Portal

  • Place the WIND GOD STATUETTE in place on the right side of the portal.
  • Exit to the sarcophagus.

 

Boy

  • Give the boy the MEDALLION.
  • Receive the CABIN BOYS ROOM KEY in return and head down to the sentry room.

 

Sentry

  • Zoom into the trapdoor and insert the CABIN BOY’S KEY into the lock to open it.
  • Open the trap door and go down into the cabin below.

 

Cabin Boy

  • Click on the right boot – ugh! Rats – why did it have to be rats?
  • Zoom in on the desk to the left and take the KNIFE and the calendar piece.
  • Click on the shirt – guess we need to find a needle to use with the fabric in inventory and the thread on the desk!
  • Can’t I just give the kid one of the blankets on the bed instead of leaving him to freeze to death while I hunt around for a needle to repair his shirt?
  • Where are the priorities around here? Well, now that we’ve had a vent, time to go topsides to the upper deck.

 

Upper Deck HOA

  • Click on the HOA to the left to initiate it.
  • Collect the items circled in red.
  • Those circled in yellow require multiple moves.
  • Turn over the bucket to the right - click on the carving to release and capture the hummingbird and pick up the mortar.
  • Place the bow on the statue to create the archer.
  • Place the roses in the vase to receive a bouquet.
  • When finished receive the SEWING NEEDLE and go to the infirmary.

 

Infirmary HOA

  • Click on the HOA to the left to initiate it.
  • Collect the items circled in red.
  • Those circled in yellow require multiple moves.
  • Put the doorknob in place, and open both cupboard doors.
  • Click on the statue to release and capture the hummingbird.
  • Flip through the pages to find the ostrich. When finished receive the SCISSORS.
  • Exit the HOA and zoom in on the chair.
  • Use the KNIFE to cut the stitching and retrieve the calendar piece.
  • Head to the upper deck.

 

Rope

  • Zoom in on the rope and cut a segment of it with the KNIFE.
  • Take a look at the skeleton and take the CHALK and SEAHORSE TAIL FROM ITS HAND.
  • Time to return to the cabin boy’s cabin.

 

Shirt

  • Start off by placing the SEWING NEEDLES on the desk to get NEEDLE AND THREAD.
  • Now zoom in to the jacket.
  • Place the PIECE OF CLOTH on it, then use the CHALK to give you the outline.
  • Use the SCISSORS to cut out the appropriate piece, and then use the sewing materials three times to complete the job – by the time all this is done you’ll find yourself putting the jacket on a corpse!
  • Receive the JACKET and head down to the sarcophagus.

 

 

Jacket 2

  • Give the poor freezing kid his JACKET at last.
  • In return he’ll give you the third artifact piece.
