Opening Story:

In Legacy Tales Mercy of the Gallows, years ago there lived a man named William and his lovely wife Isabelle. They fought many pirates throughout their years and were a very happy couple. Then suddenly, Isabelle disappeared and was heard from no more. Her husband searched for her in desperation, letting his home and ship go to ruins in his plight until he too disappeared... until the day his body washed up on shore. He was dressed as a pirate and wore a steel hook in place of his hand. Now it's up to you to help the ghost of Isabelle by discovering the truth that lies in the heart of the castle by the sea.

General Tips for Legacy Tales Mercy of the Gallows

Difficulty - Two modes: Casual and Normal. In Casual Mode, active areas will sparkle, hint and skip buttons charge quickly. In Normal Mode, there are no sparkles, hint and skip buttons charge at a slower rate.

Navigation Cursor - When your cursor turns into an arrow, it means you can move in that direction.

Magnifying Glass - When your cursor turns into a magnifying glass, it means you can play a Hidden Object area.

Hand - When your cursor turns into a hand, it means you can pick up an object and place it in your inventory or interact with it in some way.

Eye - When your cursor turns into an eye, it means you can zoom in on an area.

Notebook - Your Notebook can be found in the lower left hand corner of your screen. Game notes and observations that you make throughout the adventure can be found here.

Hints -  The hint button is found in the lower right hand corner of your screen. Click here if you're stuck. Just remember, the button takes time to charge before you can use it again.

Inventory -  Your inventory can be found at the bottom of your screen. Hover your cursor over it to bring it up. Click the padlock to lock it in place.

Hidden Object Scenes - Hidden object scenes can be accessed by clicking when your cursor turns into a magnifying glass. Find the images on your list throughout the scene. Objects in blue require an extra step.

Mini-games - During mini-games, if you can't figure out the puzzle or don't feel like trying to solve it, you can click the skip button to skip the puzzle and move on.

Menu -  The menu button is located at the top left-hand corner of your screen.

Golden Coins - You will collect golden coins throughout the game. These coins are stored in your chest in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. Coins can be used to open important chests throughout the game. If the chest is still open in a scene, it means there are still coins to be found in that area.

Plus Sign - The plus sign will appear on inventory items that can be combined with other items to make another object.
