It's nearly Halloween. That's Lucy's favorite time of the year. She has been haunting the house with fake skeletons, spider webs (although I made her agree no fake spiders - or real ones either!), pumpkins, bats, ravens, witches cauldrons, brooms, and so on and so forth. Then there's the Halloween party she's throwing. It's all retro and everyone invited has to dress in a different era. It's just close friends, so everyone happily agreed.
I'm going dressed for the 60's, complete with go-go boots. Lucy is dressing in a flappers outfit for the Roaring Twenties, Zavvy decided to do become a greaser from the 50's (he's currently working on getting the hair just right), and Jasper decided to go with a 70's disco theme and we are all hoping he doesn't try roller skates. Lucy has me busy researching retro Halloween party games from all era's. There's even going to be a pumpkin carving contest! I'm sure it will be a fun night, but whose going to clean up?! Oy!
Enough about the festivities, on to the game I just did. I finally broke down and played the entire game of
Lost Souls: Enchanted Paintings. My opinion really hasn't changed since my review, which you can read again, so I won't go into all that. I will say that I did end up really enjoying the game and I hope you find the game guide helpful.
Since I’ve finished the game, I will add a few things that isn’t mentioned in the review. First, if you are a hidden object lover, there is no lack of hidden object scenes to keep you happy. This game is filled with them! I had one disappointment. The game ended really abruptly and left a lot of unanswered questions. Who exactly was the evil wizard? Why did he take your son? How exactly did you get your son back? Did you defeat the evil wizard or will he appear in another game? Great game, but it lost a little bit of it’s luster for the poor ending. Also, if you have a widescreen monitor, this game does no play friendly. This is why all the screenshots are in windowed mode, which is how I had to play it. The game on a widescreen monitor s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-s everything and distorts it some. There are no other options but to play it in windowed, which was a little frustrating after awhile and a little hard on the eyes. Just a warning to players.
Now, to go supervise Lucy so she doesn't use any furbelows (proncounced furr-bee-loz), which means tacky decorations. Until next time, happy gaming!
